“A high school girl becomes a space pirate captain.”
Marika Kato is a typical high school student living on the planet Umi, balancing her studies with a part-time job at a retro-themed cafe. Her mundane life is turned upside down when two strangers arrive, claiming that her recently deceased father was a legendary space pirate captain. They inform her that according to the ship's contract, she is the only one who can legally inherit the captaincy of the Bentenmaru, a ship operating under a government-sanctioned privateer license. As Marika navigates the complexities of commanding a crew of seasoned space pirates, she must balance her academic responsibilities with the high-stakes world of interstellar diplomacy and piracy.
