Set in the bleak, crime-ridden outskirts of Rome, the series follows Christian, a small-time thug who works as an enforcer for a local crime boss. His life takes a supernatural turn when he discovers mysterious stigmata on his hands, which grant him the power to heal the sick and resurrect the dead. As news of his 'miracles' spreads, Christian finds himself caught between the desperate local community seeking salvation and the criminal underworld that views his abilities as a threat or a commodity. As Christian grapples with the weight of his newfound power, he is pursued by Matteo, a determined Vatican investigator obsessed with proving the authenticity of miracles. The series explores themes of faith, redemption, and the corruption of power, as Christian struggles to understand the origin of his gift and whether he is truly a saint or merely a pawn in a much larger, darker game.
