Inspired by Elmore Leonard's bestselling novel, 'Get Shorty' follows Miles Daly, a muscle-bound enforcer for a Nevada criminal ring who tries to reinvent himself as a Hollywood film producer to win back his estranged wife and daughter. Partnering with a washed-up, desperate B-movie producer named Rick Morewere, Miles attempts to launder drug money through a movie production while inadvertently bringing the dangerous realities of organized crime straight to Los Angeles. As the series progresses, the line between the cinematic underworld and real-life peril blurs. Miles finds himself navigating eccentric studio executives, ruthless drug kingpins, and the FBI, all while trying to maintain control over his double life. The escalating stakes test his ingenuity, forcing him to adapt the ruthless tactics of the criminal syndicate to survive the equally cutthroat landscape of the entertainment industry.
