Kim Shin, a decorated military general from the Goryeo Dynasty, is betrayed by his king and executed, only to be resurrected by the Almighty as a Goblin. Cursed with immortality, he is forced to watch his loved ones die over centuries while searching for his destined 'Goblin's bride'—the only person capable of pulling the invisible sword from his chest and allowing him to finally pass on to the afterlife. His lonely existence takes a turn when he crosses paths with Ji Eun-tak, a high school student with the supernatural ability to see ghosts and a tragic past. As their fates intertwine, they are joined by a cynical Grim Reaper who has lost his memories and a bubbly fried chicken shop owner, leading to a complex web of past-life connections, divine intervention, and a poignant exploration of love, sacrifice, and the cycle of reincarnation.
