If You Wish Upon Me follows the life of Yoon Gyeo-re, a young man who has lived a life of struggle, having spent time in an orphanage, a youth detention center, and prison. After a series of unfortunate events, he begins working as a volunteer at a hospice hospital, where he joins the 'Team Genie'—a group dedicated to fulfilling the final wishes of terminally ill patients. Through his interactions with the patients and the dedicated staff, Gyeo-re begins to confront his own trauma and learns the true meaning of healing and human connection. The series explores themes of grief, redemption, and the importance of empathy. Alongside Kang Tae-sik, the passionate leader of Team Genie, and Seo Yeon-joo, a dedicated nurse who finds strength in caring for others, Gyeo-re undergoes a profound transformation.
