Immortal Yi Sun-sin is a sweeping historical epic drama that chronicles the life, military career, and heroic sacrifices of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, one of Korea's most revered historical figures. Spanning his early struggles against political factionalism and bureaucratic corruption, the series highlights his unmatched tactical brilliance during the Imjin War (Japanese invasions of Korea from 1592 to 1598). Against seemingly insurmountable odds, Admiral Yi leads the Joseon navy to historic victories using innovative strategies and the legendary turtle ship, ultimately giving his life at the final Battle of Noryang to protect his homeland.
