Kaseifu no Mita follows the enigmatic and emotionless housekeeper Mita Akari, who is assigned to the Asuda household following the tragic death of the children's mother. The family—consisting of a grieving father and four children ranging from elementary school to high school—is on the verge of complete collapse. Mita executes every single command given to her by the family members with robotic precision, no matter how extreme, absurd, or morally ambiguous it may be, famously responding to every request with 'I shall do as you order.' As she fulfills their bizarre and sometimes dangerous instructions, her unwavering presence gradually forces the deeply flawed family members to confront their own secrets, mend their broken relationships, and rediscover their will to live.
