Man Who Dies to Live

The series follows Jang Dal-goo, a man who traveled to a small kingdom in the Middle East in the 1970s and successfully became a wealthy count. After decades of living as a nobleman, he returns to his home country of South Korea to find his long-lost daughter. Upon his arrival, he discovers that his daughter, Lee Ji-young, is living a difficult life and is married to Kang Ho-rim, a man who is struggling with his own financial and personal insecurities. The narrative explores the clash of cultures and the comedic yet heartfelt complications that arise when the eccentric, wealthy count tries to integrate into his daughter's life. As he attempts to reveal his identity and provide for his family, he must navigate the misunderstandings of his son-in-law and the skepticism of those around him, leading to a journey of reconciliation, family discovery, and personal growth.
