Park Kae-in is a clumsy, trusting furniture designer who is constantly betrayed by those around her, including her best friend and boyfriend. Desperate to save her unique traditional house, 'Sanggojae,' from foreclosure, she decides to take in a roommate. She meets Jeon Jin-ho, an ambitious and meticulous architect who is desperate to win a project bid for the Dam Art Center, a project inspired by the very house Kae-in lives in. To secure the contract, Jin-ho needs to study the architecture of Sanggojae. When he discovers that Kae-in is looking for a roommate, he pretends to be gay to move in with her, believing it is the only way to gain her trust and access to the house. As they live together, the two begin to overcome their personal traumas and prejudices, leading to an unexpected and complicated romance that challenges their initial deceptions.
