Ensemble
Set in an alternate 1920s Tokyo, the story follows Ichiro Ogami, a young naval lieutenant who is assigned to lead the Imperial Assault Force, a secret defense unit composed of talented young women. While the public knows them as the Imperial Revue, a theater troupe performing at the Grand Imperial Theater, they are actually trained pilots who use steam-powered mechs known as Koubu to defend the city against supernatural threats and demonic forces. As Ogami navigates his dual role as a theater manager and a military commander, he must help the members of the Flower Division overcome their personal insecurities and internal conflicts. Together, they must master their spiritual energy to pilot their machines and thwart the plans of the Kuroki no Juujigun (Black Cross Society), who seek to plunge the Imperial Capital into chaos.
