School 2021 is the eighth installment of the long-running KBS 'School' series, focusing on the lives of students at a specialized vocational high school. Unlike previous iterations that centered on academic pressure and university entrance exams, this series explores the struggles, friendships, and romances of teenagers who choose to pursue their dreams through vocational training and technical skills rather than traditional higher education. The story follows Gong Ki-joon, a former taekwondo athlete who loses his dream due to an injury, and Jin Ji-won, a confident girl with a firm goal of becoming a carpenter. As they navigate the complexities of adolescence, they encounter various challenges, including financial hardships, family expectations, and the competitive nature of their specialized curriculum. The series highlights the importance of finding one's own path and the resilience required to grow in a society that often prioritizes conventional success.
