School-Live! follows Yuki Takeya, a cheerful high school student who is a member of the 'School Living Club.' Along with her friends Kurumi Ebisuzawa, Yuri Wakasa, and Miki Naoki, Yuki spends her days participating in club activities and living at the school. However, the cheerful atmosphere is a facade maintained by Yuki's fractured psyche to cope with a horrific reality. In truth, the world has been devastated by a mysterious zombie outbreak. The school has become a fortified sanctuary where the girls must scavenge for supplies, defend their perimeter, and struggle to survive against the undead remnants of their former classmates and teachers. The series explores themes of trauma, denial, and the bonds of friendship as the girls attempt to maintain a semblance of normalcy in a post-apocalyptic landscape.
