Shots Fired is a gripping event series that examines the dangerous aftermath of two racially charged shootings in a small North Carolina town. When an African American police officer kills an unarmed white teenager, the community is thrust into a state of unrest. The investigation is further complicated when the Department of Justice sends an expert investigator, Ashe Akino, and a special prosecutor, Preston Terry, to uncover the truth behind the incident. As the duo digs deeper, they discover a web of corruption, political maneuvering, and long-standing racial tensions that threaten to tear the town apart. The series explores the perspectives of both sides of the law, including the police, the victims' families, and the media, ultimately questioning the integrity of the justice system and the complexities of modern-day policing in America.
