Skeleton Flower is a poignant South Korean drama that explores the intersection of memory, grief, and the healing power of human connection. The story centers on Han Seo-yoon, a talented but reclusive botanical illustrator who suffers from a rare condition that causes her to lose her short-term memories whenever she experiences extreme emotional trauma. Living a quiet life in a remote mountain village, she spends her days documenting rare flora, specifically the elusive 'skeleton flower' (Diphylleia grayi), which turns transparent when touched by rain. Her solitary existence is disrupted by the arrival of Kang Do-jin, a disgraced investigative journalist seeking refuge from a scandal that destroyed his career. As Do-jin begins to uncover the dark secrets of the village, he finds himself drawn to Seo-yoon’s mysterious past. Together, they navigate a complex web of local corruption and personal tragedy, realizing that like the skeleton flower, their own lives are fragile and only reveal their true colors when faced with the 'rain' of their shared hardships.
