Sungkyunkwan Scandal

Set during the Joseon Dynasty, Sungkyunkwan Scandal follows Kim Yoon-hee, a smart and responsible young woman who disguises herself as her brother, Yoon-shik, to make ends meet by writing illicit books and taking civil service examinations for others. When her deceit is uncovered, she catches the eye of Lee Sun-joon, a rigid, upright, and wealthy Confucian scholar who unknowingly recommends her for enrollment in the prestigious Sungkyunkwan academy—an institution strictly reserved for elite males. Inside the academy, Yoon-hee must navigate a precarious double life while sharing living quarters with Sun-joon, the rebellious and free-spirited Moon Jae-shin, and the decadent playboy Gu Yong-ha. Together, the quartet forms an unlikely bond known as the 'Joseon F4.' As they tackle academic challenges, dangerous political factions, and a secret royal mandate concerning a forgotten era of reform, Yoon-hee and Sun-joon find themselves fighting against societal taboos as their professional partnership blossoms into forbidden romance.
