Series Overview

Set in an exclusive high school populated by ultra-wealthy chaebol heirs, 'The Heirs' follows the lives, friendships, and romantic entanglements of privileged youths who are groomed to take over their family business empires. Kim Tan, a handsome and wealthy heir to the Jeguk Group, has been exiled to the United States by his family, where he crosses paths with Cha Eun-sang, a down-to-earth girl who has flown to America to find her runaway sister. Despite their vastly different social standings, the two develop a deep connection. Upon returning to Korea, Kim Tan discovers that Eun-sang is actually the daughter of his family's mute housekeeper, and she soon enrolls in his elite high school on a welfare scholarship. As Kim Tan and Eun-sang navigate the rigid and suffocating social hierarchy of their school, they must face intense bullying from the wealthy elite, parental disapproval, and the complex machinations of Choi Young-do, a rebellious former friend turned bitter rival who also takes an interest in Eun-sang. The series explores themes of class struggle, teenage angst, and the heavy burdens of privilege.
