What We Do in the Shadows

Set in Staten Island, New York, the series follows the nightly lives of four vampires—Nandor the Relentless, Laszlo Cravensworth, Nadja of Antipaxos, and Colin Robinson—who have been roommates for over a century. Filmed in a mockumentary style, the show explores the mundane and often absurd challenges of being immortal in the modern world, from navigating bureaucratic neighborhood councils to dealing with the complexities of human relationships and supernatural rivalries. The group is assisted by Guillermo de la Cruz, Nandor's long-suffering human familiar who dreams of becoming a vampire himself. As the series progresses, the vampires find themselves entangled in various supernatural conspiracies, ancient prophecies, and the ever-present threat of the Vampire Council, all while struggling to maintain their status as the apex predators of the New York City nightlife.
