Severance

Series Overview

Severance follows Mark Scout, an employee at Lumon Industries, a mysterious corporation that utilizes a medical procedure called 'severance' to surgically divide the memories of their employees between their work and personal lives. This creates two distinct personas: an 'innie' who exists only within the office, and an 'outie' who lives in the outside world with no knowledge of what happens during the workday. As Mark and his colleagues begin to question the true nature of their work and the sinister reality of Lumon Industries, the boundaries between their two lives begin to blur. The series explores themes of corporate control, grief, and the ethics of consciousness, as the 'innies' embark on a dangerous quest to uncover the truth about their existence and the company that holds them captive.
