Set in a dystopian future where Earth has undergone severe desertification and natural resources are critically depleted, the series follows an elite space crew sent on a perilous 24-hour mission to the abandoned Balhae Lunar Research Station on the moon. Their objective is to retrieve a mysterious sample known as 'Luna' from the facility, which suffered a mysterious accident five years prior that claimed the lives of all personnel, including the sister of mission astrobiologist Dr. Song Ji-an. As the team arrives at the desolate station, they quickly realize that the official reports of the accident were heavily falsified. They encounter horrifying secrets, strange biological phenomena, and lethal hazards within the dark corridors of the base. Team leader Han Yoon-jae must navigate conflicting orders and dwindling resources while fighting to keep his crew alive as they uncover the truth about what really happened on the moon and the lethal properties of the mysterious water sample.
